Tanger Outlets expected to open in November 2016
Daytona Beach's first outlet mall is expected to open in late November just in time for the 2016 holiday shopping season. The 400,000 square feet outlet mall is conveniently located at the intersection of LPGA Boulevard and Interstate 95. The site is just north of Trader Joe's distribution center, adjacent to The Ladies Professional Golf Associations (LPGA) corporate headquarters and golf course, a few miles north of the Daytona Speedway, and approximately six miles from Volusia County Beaches.
The $100 million project is expected to create 400 temporary jobs during construction, more than 900 permanent jobs upon completion, and contribute in excess of $8.8 million in yearly tax revenue. The mall will house over 80 upscale designer outlet retailers including H&M, Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, Kay Jewelers, Under Armour, Sketchers, Express, New Balance, and Levi's. “We are looking forward to delivering a world-class experience to residents and visitors of the Iconic Daytona Beach Area,” President and CEO Steven B. Tanger said. The Tanger Outlets mall is part of the 235-acre Tomoka Town Center development area that will include Sam's Club, 200-room hotel, 250 multifamily residential units, grocery store, and additional retail.
