Waterfront Homes in Palm Coast

The Matanzas River cuts through just a few blocks inland from the Atlantic Ocean. This plus various lakes and river canals provide ample opportunity for waterfront living in Palm Coast. For perspective, there are 23 miles of saltwater canals and 46 miles of freshwater canals!

Oceanfront homes tend to be the most pricey, but there are various opportunities for affordable oceanfront condos thanks to the relatively low home prices. This area is popular with retirees both for the climate as well as attractive home prices.

Riverfront homes line both the river and the plethora of freshwater canals that run through Palm Coast. There are enough single-family homes lining these canals that there are plenty of options for sale at any given time. Things to Do in Palm Coast

Palm Coast is an outdoorsman’s playground. Aside from 19 miles of unspoiled beaches, residents enjoy over 125 miles of hiking and biking trails. Conservation areas such as the 3,000-acre Graham Swamp and the Pellicer Creek Corridor provide ample opportunities for spotting local wildlife.

Fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing are popular and it’s common to spot dolphins and manatees on excursions out into the wild.

Palm Coast boasts a state-of-the-art tennis center and tournaments, clinics, and other competitions are common. The area also boasts several beautiful golf courses where residents and visitors alike enjoy sharpening their skills while enjoying the balmy weather.

Overall, life in Palm Coast is peaceful and relaxing. The city is large enough to offer necessary amenities, such as hospitals and colleges, yet hangs onto a laid-back atmosphere. People enjoy plenty of time outdoors and the cooler summers mean anytime is a good time to go exploring.

Though there are opportunities for oceanfront living, there is also a stretch of beach along on side of the A1A highway that has been designated as a Scenic and Historic Coastal Highway. No homes are built along this stretch and it is a lovely spot for a Sunday afternoon drive.
